Who we are

Sekurit R&D Department was established in 2006 as technical center for automotive glass encapsulation. Today, our team’s activities have expanded beyond glass encapsulation and new competencies have been developed in areas such as smart glazings, design thinking.

Saint Gobain Amplisky PDLC sunroof provides privacy on demand by its instantaneous switching from opaque to transparent and adjustable dimming from vehicle human machine interface (HMI). It also provides superior comfort by its top thermal performance in summer & winter and acoustic comfort thanks to no moving parts. Amplisky PDLC Sunroof makes the roof glass “active”. Its shows great modernity and elegance by the seamless roof design and spacious feeling it brings from larger glass surface and better head space. The PDLC sunroof product development is strongly powered by SGR Shanghai through its optical, mechanical, electrical, chemical capability.

Lighting sunroof

The vehicle is a moving space that users spend a good portion of their time. Lighting sunroof is a product enabling the generation of ambient lighting in the vehicle by managing the color, pattern, brightness, lighting frequency in combination with other media like music etc. With the ambient lighting on the automotive sunroof, this facilitates setting designed mood of the automotive cockpit space and offers related value proposition to drivers and passengers. This solution gains increasingly popularity in China domestic and oversea market. The lighting sunroof product development is strongly powered by SGR Shanghai through its optical, mechanical, electrical, chemical capability.

Autonomous Driving Optical Integration

Autonomous Driving becomes one of the key technology on the vehicle, and the image quality is a key factor affecting Autonomous Driving (AD) system design. In SGR Shanghai Sekurit team, we are working on the alignment of optical image quality, the validation functional performance for critical use case, the optimization the performance and the reliability of AD system.

Lead-free soldering

Lead-free soldering has become a mandatory requirement in Europe since 2016 for automotive glazing. Sekurit R&D team has transferred this technology and been keeping supporting any issue occurred in China.
