Tack coat is a necessity when it comes to laying roadway applications. Without it, pavement is subject to debonding, slippage and cracking. But tack coat also presents a number of issues: proper, even coverage is difficult to achieve; curing time restricts paving construction; and tack can be tracked easily onto clean roads.

Saint-Gobain ADFORS has developed a new product that offers the benefits of tack coat without all the inherent problems: GlasGrid? TF (Tack Film). It contains a patent-pending, highly engineered film designed to replace the need for a tack coat. The fiberglass grid provides protection against reflective cracking, while the tack film enhances performance of the overlay, resulting in extended life.
